*words 1st , pictures later*
As the title obviously stated, the so po gangs for the first time organised a trip on our own to Penang from 27 June to 30 June 2008.
In short, it was really fun and unforgettable memories for us as we get to enjoy our holidays without any problems or stress stucking in our heads. We also get to act weirdly or childishly over there as we are not fear of being seen by known ppl. XD
27 June
Met up at Kepong KTM station then to LRT in order to reach Pudu Bus Station where the bus will take us to our destination. Reached there at about 2something near to 3pm. All of was hungry. So, checked in to Oriental Hotel and straight walk out to hunt for foods. The weather was so hot that we didn't prepare umbrellas or caps except for So Po Han.
First, we stop at Kayu Nasi Kandar but ended up only Yean, Da and Han order the Nasi Kandar. So, later on we headed to another shops based on Han's college friend recommendation. Had ice cendol, char koay teow. Since all of us was complaining hot, so we decided to go back to hotel to have a shower.
After shower, due to some circumstances, we went out again from something which I think it is best to keep as secret within us. ^.^ Then, after gao dim, we walked to Prangin Mall to do some shopping since outside is still so hot. Surprisingly, the mall is like mainly selling shoes especially high heel shoes at almost all shops. We all see until oso dizzy d.
Waited for Hua to finish work then had our supper lu. Din really did much on the first day as we are quite tired after travelling. So, back to hotel and had an early rest.
28 June
Today, luckily Han's Uni friend, Samantha is free to bring us around lu. So, don't need to worry about transportation wise. Before that, Hua came and bring us out for breakfast as Samantha is only free after lunch. Had breakfast then waited for Samantha then off we went.
First we went to the Kek Lok Si. Before going up, we stop by at the famous asam laksa. A must must to eat. Then, went up to Kek Lok Si and walk around lo. Had a ride on the incline train as well.
Then, we also visited the Sleeping Buddha temple before going to Gurney Plaza. Walk around as usual then walk out to the Gurney Drive for dinner. The foods there was so-so only and it is not cheap as compared to other places in Georgetown.
Mayb due to early dinner, some of us were hungry during the late night. So, hua bought some foods back to hotel. I can assure u that especially the "o-jian" are so much more tastier and cheaper than the 1 we ate at Gurney Drive.
29 June
Decided to change hotel to hotel near beach at Tanjung Bunga. So again many thanks to Han's friend, this time round is another friend nicknamed "FlagFlag" picked us up from the hotel and bring us around. Checked out from the hotel and FlagFlag showed us around the Georgetown after having chicken rice as our brunch. ^.^
We went to Batu Ferringhi then to Teluk Bahang where the smallest national park in the world is situated. The sea over there are so much more cleaner than the 1 at Batu Ferringhi.
Hang around taking pictures then went to our hotel to check in. Rest awhile. Han, Da and Kwan went for a swimming at the pool while Shin n Yean decided to be pig for the day ... XD
Also, did nothing much. Walked out to a hawker stalls for dinner. Lucky we are finishing our foods when it started to rain. Geez ...
30 June
Say bye-bye to Penang ....
Reached KL at about 3pm .
Yean drove out for lunch .
The so po gang went on their craziness with a game of pool and bowling at 1u before decided to call it a day ...
It was really an interesting trip which will not be forgotten.
There are not much pictures uploaded due to time taken to upload pictures.
Further, we had more videos than pictures and some pictures are not suitable to be uploaded to the websites .
Oh ya .. BTW ... So Lou is our mr camera man for the trip. That is why u don't really see him in most of the pictures. XD
